Clearly the best!
INVEST in Zeiss quality. Don't SPEND money on other inferior optics. If you do ANY traveling and if viewing distant objects is important to you, then these Zeiss Victory Compacts can't be beaten for clarity, crispness or portability. They are clearly the best and worth every cent. The best way to appreciate these is through a side by side demonstration. Find a local store that sells Zeiss optics. Pick ANY object to view. First look at the object through ANY other binocular. Then look at it through the Zeiss Victory. You will be astounded by the brightness, clarity and sharpness of the image. The difference is in the quality of the optics. The Zeiss lets in so much more light, that the image comes alive. We have had Nikon, Swarovski, Bushnel, Tasco and others. There is NO comparison with the Zeiss. Save up until you can afford these if you must. But buy the Zeiss.

Best of the best
I did side by side comparisons of all the major players in this size range. The Swarovskis were just as good optically but more expensive and not as well designed ergonomically.I've never regretted this purchase and grab these more frequently than my Canon IS 10x30's or 8x32 Nikon Superior E's (both of those are a bit brighter but neither are compact or weatherproof).Expensive but well worth the price of admission if you're shopping for a pair of compact binoculars.

You pay for quality, not for the brand
I must say that i was quite hesitant about these binos at this high price. I though i should go for the nikons that were half the price and looked to me to be cooler and better, and besides i thought that these binos were the same quality, just you paid for them to be made in germany and "Zeiss". But I was wrong... These binos are awesome!!! Even in dusk they perform well, and for the 25mm objektiv this is just insane!! Now you can walk around with an extremely light wight binocular and at the same time see extremely clear pictures! I would definatly pay the extra dollars for quality optics like zeiss, and besides, its better to by clear optics once, and never half to by optics again than to spend small amounts of money on "crappy" optics like nikon or bushnell (They are really not crappy, but compared to this they are...), and suffer when you miss a deer at 9:30PM and having to look into two pitch black holes and try to look for some movement... So really, these optics are worth...

Product Description
The Victory Compact 10x25 fits into a shirt or jacket pocket and it delivers breathtaking views. When critical observation of near and distant surroundings is a must, the Victory 10x25 glides seamlessly into action. This lightweight powerhouse boasts cutting-edge optical technology that ensures optimized light transmission and a breathtaking field of view. The optical path features phase-corrected Schmidt-Pechan roof prisms with dielectric mirror coatings. Ground to perfection, these prisms maximize acuity and light throughput while eliminating aberrations and distortion. The lenses are fully multicoated with Zeiss' legendary T* anti-reflective multicoating and LotuTec protective coating. T* multicoating increases light transmission while negating the negative effects of flare and glare. LotuTec coating helps maintain the integrity of each external lens surface by repelling liquids and debris for a clear view in any conditions, weather, or situation. The Compact Victory's housing is quite robust - it's reinforced with glass fibers and covered with an anti-slip rubber armoring. A fog-resistant fill of bone-dry nitrogen ensures clear viewing in dynamic climates and the entire system is sealed for absolute waterproof performance. The hinge is offset - this affords a visibly unique and compact form-factor that is easy to adjust. Focusing is managed with a dial on the hinge and a pair of soft twist-up rubber eyecups offer a comfortable custom fit. Top to learn more
