[Updated] Philips Norelco G370: a good tradition continues.
Decided to look for a new beard and mustache trimmer when my trusty old Norelco Maverick TX-450 finally gave up the ghost and just quit running. If this sounds like I'm slamming the product, I'm not, as I had owned this basic battery-operated trimmer for over sixteen years - far longer than I ever expected it to last when I first got it. I could have probably fixed it (again) if I disassembled and cleaned it out, but decided to see what might be new on the market. This was primarily used as a mustache trimmer, but after using it for a few years with a handheld comb, was able to do a fair job with my beard.Was amazed to see how many models were now available, and how many companies were making them. Great shower wimpy design, gets the job done for cheap.
As a person who used to suffer from extreme acne when I was a teen I still have some very tiny scarring on my cheeks that most of the time is unnoticeable unless my skin is dry. So going with a chlorine filter on my shower head is a must! This little guy does the job. I am a fan of a long showers and washing my face in detail. This means my showers are a bit longer but in the name of clearer skin its a must. This little guy helps a lot. My skin is softer, my hair is DARKER, and the soap lathers up really well for some reason. I thought it was in my head but apparently chlorine free water does that.... Chlorine plus an exfoliating scrub used to kill my skin now I look 1 - 3 years younger and my skin no longer has a chapped or sun burnt feeling. Now I can wash away and take my time. My main gripe is the thing looks cheap and awkward and that's because, well, it is cheap and awkward! I think it could use a bigger chlorine filter or perhaps an activated charcoal combo... Update 3/3/2012: I'm pleased to report I've had *totally* different results on my bikini line than on my legs. I'd say I've seen at least a 60% reduction in growth after 3 treatments, maybe more (I'm only 1 week post-treatment so there is still time for more hairs to fall out) - I'm amazed and completely pleased!
