simple chair, great for small space and energetic toddler
We were using a portable chair on top of our kitchen chair to save space since we have a tiny house. My 16 month old daughter started rocking it and tipping (not all the way over, but getting close). We knew it was time to get something else. After we purchased this, my sister pointed out we could have transitioned her into a booster, which may be another alternative for parents out there with a young toddler. Our little one can be hard to contain, so I like the security of this chair.Most important to me, this chair is very stable. She was trying to tip it from the start, and she would get a little movement, but not as frightening as the old setup. Now, she has given up this behavior since the rocking isn't as "thrilling" as her old setup. Also, I have caught her, now 18 months, climbing up the back when not in use and it hasn't tipped (We do NOT condone this behavior, just thought it was an interesting perspective on the stability of the chair, and something else for...

Love this high chair!
I am a first time mom, and made a huge rookie mistake by first purchasing a beautiful antique high chair for my baby. While it looked fantastic in my kitchen, just after one use it turned into a disgusting germ fest of nastiness. The wood was impossible to clean, and it had tons of nooks for baby food to seep into and rot (yes, really, this happens). You can imagine the horror after using it for a month. And, my kid could basically stand right up in it, as there were no harnesses. Plus, I had to order special cushions to fit the chair, which set me back an additional $65. (Let me stop right here and interject a quick side note to first time moms--listen to your friends when they tell you function and safety is much more important than looks...this goes for any baby furniture, clothing, toys, etc. If you find something that looks DECENT and is functional and safe, go for it. I have found the prettiest things--and oftentimes the most expensive things--to be the least functional.)...

Should have looked at measurements better
I wanted to LOVE this chair, but I don't. It's a great concept, but I thought it would be more versatile & be better than my Graco high chair I already own, but it's not much different except that it's even less versatile. In order to move the seat & footrest you have to loosen most of the screws. My Graco had 4 heights that move with the turn of a knob. The tray can only be set & one height & this seat is not tall at all. I thought I could use it at the kitchen bar, but it's too short. The cushion that comes with it is not plush at all, pretty thin. The varnish comes off easily if it gets scratched. I do like that the tray is lower, her Graco is so high she has to reach up.Pros: It is nice, sturdy, eco-friendly, my daughter likes it, tray is low enough for her & should last a long time.Cons: Hard to adjust, too short, expensive to get add-ons, don't like the way the tray attaches.

Fantastic Chair with Minor Flaw
I purchased this high chair from Amazon about 4 months ago for my 8 month old son. It is extremely easy to put together and I love how adjustable it is. It's a great inexpensive alternative to the popular Stokke Tripp Trapp, and I like having the tray for quick and easy clean-up.The only negative thing about this chair was noted by another reviewer. The finish is very thin and does not hold up well to liquids. My son likes to turn his sippy cup over and splash the tray with water, and even though I cleaned and dried the tray after every feeding, the finish began to chip off in spots, leaving exposed wood beneath. My solution was to cover the flat surface of the tray with contact paper to protect what was left of the finish. Otherwise, great and attractive high chair!

I wish I had one of these for my first child
Recently I bought 2 of these chairs, one for my 6 month old son and one for my 3 year old daughter and I love them. I wish I had bought my daughter one when she was younger. Putting the chair together wasn't easy but it wasn't bad either. It is study and seems to be well made. it looks nice in my dining room and most importantly, it works well for my son. With the infant insert, the clips on the seat and the tray, my son in nice and secure. I would definately recommend the infant insert though. I wouldn't feel comfortable with him in there without it. he seems to be comfortable although if he starts throwing a fit it is possible for him to hit his head on the wooded back. I think he has done it once in the last 2 weeks.One of the features I like best is that you can adjust the seat height relative to the tray, which I have not seen on any of the 5 high chairs we have owned over the last 3 years. This would have been nice for my daughter since she is really short...

Fantastic chair, fair price
Great high chair. We own two for our twin girls. I really like the infant insert and tray. It is also nice to be able to remove the tray and place the grab rail so the kids an pull up to the table. The adjustable foot support is important... how would you like to sit in a chair with your leg's dangling? You probably wouldn't last long! It is more expensive that your standard high chair but your child should get many years of use with proper adjustment. It was also very easy to assemble. The only other comparable product available does not have a tray as an option and it costs much more.

Not solid wood - plywood pieces
The main selling point for me was that I (mistakenly) thought this "wood" chair was a solid wood product. Turns out the back, seat, and footrest are all plywood. The customer service is very responsive. They assured me formaldehyde is not used in the production of the chair (I'm not entirely sure I believe that). The chair is very heavy (as non-solid wood products are), and not easy to move from one room to another (for example, it would be nice to move it to the kitchen so baby can watch me cook, but it's really too heavy to move more than a few feet with baby in one arm.) While difficult to move, it is sturdy. The infant insert is wonderful. It looks very comfortable and my 25 lb 7 month old's chubby thighs fit in it nicely, although I had to move the seat plate to the 4th slot (3rd is recommended, but moving it down doesn't seem to affect the fit or safety of the insert - baby wouldn't fit otherwise). Keekaroo is a keeper!
I bought one of these chairs for my 2 year old after lots of research online. We bought the Mahogany finish with the cushions. My son loved it, it seemed sturdy (he couldn't kick it over by pushing off the table with his legs), it was comfortable, and it looked nice. My son enjoyed it so much that we bought a second Keekaroo a month later for my then 4 year old daughter. It is now a year later and I just wanted to report back that both chairs are still in use, still enjoyed by my kids, and the chairs have held up extremely well. They have survived with flying colors through a move and use twice a day everyday and still look great! I had been concerned about scratching & the finish coming off but we have not experienced that at all. The finish on the cushions is comfortable yet super easy to wipe clean and has held up very well.When we first bought the Keekaroo we used the straps for our 2 year old, but recently we decided they weren't being used very often and...

keekaroo vs. stokke
We have two kids ages 5 and 7. When the oldest was 2 1/2 we got him a stokke kinderseat and gave the baby his highchair. At the time I read that it was important for a child to feel comfortable at the table and able to seat themselves at the table- that this helped them pay more attention the meal eat better etc. This seemed to be true. Two years later we got our DD a Stokke too- that way (in addition to the other benefits) we could have six people around our kitchen table, 4 in chairs and 2 kids in stokkes. My kids still use their stokkes to this day. We tried to switch to regular chairs but they did not want them! The Stokkes have held up very well. I could easily get my money back for them on Craigslist so I feel it was a wise and worthy investment.Our Son needed a desk chair so we wanted to get him another stokke because of the ergonomic support since we got a regular table height desk. I did not want his attention to be affected by a seat that swivelled or by his feet...

Great high chair~

Kind of small!
I bought the keekaroo tray to go with the high chair.The high chair itself is great but the tray iskind of disappointing. First of all, the on andoff requires two hands compared to peg peragohigh chair tray goes on n off with just a pinch with onehand. Secondly, the keekaroo tray is much smaller.And thirdly, the tray seems to go on pretty closeto baby's body. I don't think I can use the tray fir too long.Even now, we hardly use the tray.

Pretty Good...
The wood is great, matches perfect with the chair. The plastic tray table is also great, easy to clean, slips on and off easy. The only downside to this tray is it is a bit wobbly. Overall, we like it!

Nice highchair
I appreciate the aesthetics and made in the U.S.A construction. The only issue I have with it is my difficulty getting the tray on and off. It' definitely not a one hand job, and even with two hands it's tricky.
