ok. first of all i been using minoxidil for over a year. that helped keep what hair i had and gave me allot of peach fuss..very light hairs that seem not to grow.. well I got the hair max a month ago. used it after every shower and to be honest..It makes my hair fluffier and also I am starting to see them fine hairs grow and get darker. Updating review from April
I gave it 5 stars back in April, and got a 1 of 2 helpful rating. Folks, I don't work for the company, seriously. Now it is June, and I have been using it every other day since February. 1 ml of 5% Minoxidil after shampooing on day one, the Laser Brush on day two. It is beyond question now that my hair has grown back in on top. Direct sunlight, 6-bulb vanity mirrors - it doesn't matter. Where there used to be thin and scalp, is now parted hair - thick hair. I may not be back to age 18, but I have knocked out 5-10 years of slow but steady loss. I don't know what else to say except that when I wake up tomorrow morning, I'll grab a cup of coffee, then the Laser Brush. PS: I had tried Rogaine alone before with no noticeable results.

Hold the laser about 3 inches from the top of the scalp. As each laser can stimulate the hair follicles up to three inches in circumference from the point, there is no need to move the head around.
For the first two weeks, use every day for 20 minutes. Then use for 20 minutes every other day. The follicle will force the weak hair out at first, giving the appearance of further hair loss; however, during the next hair growth phase, the hair will come in looking fuller and thicker.
Do not over-use, as the follicles will get lazy and not respond.

Got/getting Results, BUT...
The item pictured is an XP12, one of which I purchased in FEB of 2011. I've been using mine for approximately 10 weeks. When I first started I was using it all the time (maybe like an hour a day) but I have read many places that say that 20 minutes 3x a week is fine, and hair can only grow so fast so this actually makes sense, & that's what I've changed to in the last month or so. When I say using, what I do is let it sit in a position on my head for a few seconds and move it slightly. Or I'll slowly move it over the scalp, taking like 3-5 seconds from one side to the other. Supposedly, laser diodes stimulate the skin within a 1.5" radius of the laser, so you dont have to hit every little follicle to stimulate it.In reading other's reviews of laser hair therapy and it's products, I know that if this is going to actually regrow hair that has stopped growing, it will not be for at least a few more months. Cheaper than any salon treatment
off I want to say the company offers excellent customer service. When I first received the item I had a few questions and the company was informative on all of my questions regarding laser therapy. Like the customer who wrote the previous reveiw, I did suffer some additional hair loss when I first started using the product however after much research and in speaking with the company, this happens to almost anyone who first uses any sort of laser therapy because the laser is stimulating the hair to grow much faster and any weak hairs that were eventually going to fall out come out more rapidly. If one were to continue on with treatment beyond this stage, that is when one would see results! I have been using this machine for over 7 months and I can say my hair loss has stopped and I am regrowing new hairs on both my crown and receeding hair line. It did not happen overnight but in time I began to see results...even my hair dresser comments on the new hair growth and the overall texture... Top to learn more

Getting results
Purchased an XP12 off amazon in February and it has been the single most significant thing I've done to stop my hair loss. First, I use it 20-30 mins, 3x a week. I just slide it slowly over my scalp, and I do not think it is imperative that every hair follicle be struck, I think the laser light moves through the scalp as it does your finger when you cover the laser, so dont worry about perfect/even coverage just keep it moving and do your best.From the 1st time I used this product, my hair stopped falling out. Not "kinda mighta felt better", I could vigorously run my hand through my scalp hair and have 0 hairs fall out. This was not the case before I started using the XP12.Many people regrow hair from laser therapy, but those who do only do so after many months of consistant treatment. This is something that you're going to have to keep up with, not just to get results but to maintain them (which I will have no problem doing based on my results so far). I have only been... It seems to be working after 6 months
I'm 33, Asian, my top crown area started to thin about since a year and half ago. Didn't want to go for any chemical drugs because I didn't want to mess up my kidney/body by their side effect. Also the sex drive side effect is very scary. I also looked at Rogaine but I was afraid of the heart-beat side effect because I'm a very devoted soccer player. I just can't stop playing soccer for any reason. So I decided to give this hairmax a try. $550, not very cheap but I can afford it for a chance, why not, right?!Started using it since March 2008, 3 times/week, 15 minutes each. From April thru mid June my hair GOT WORSE, lost more hair, and the top crown part had a clear 'hole', the horseshoe style. (I kept taking pictures to monitor the results) so i wondered why and did some research on the internet and found that it's called 'shedding' period,it happens to some folks and i was one of the 'lucky' guys, but it was actually a good sign of new hair is about to grow out.. Well, I took the bait...
I wrote a previous review for this device, based on my research as to its effectiveness, and summed it up with a cautiously positive opinion. That review discussed the FDA approval (based on the device being safe, but not necessarily effective), independent peer-reviewed studies, and the Dateline show that followed a HairMax user for one year (note that he was using it in combination with drug treatment). I received a few comments disregarding my review because i hadn't used the device, so here's a new one based on my actual experience.Yes, I took the bait. I'm a user now. only bad thing is the price
I've been losing my hair for quite awhile....slowly.Now, the crown of my head has lost all of its hair, and the front is thinning now.I was going to get transplants.However, I then got into a very bad car accident, and all money went to a new vehicle.When I heard the comb was approved by the FDA, I called the company, and they were completely sold out.I plunked down the money and got the comb.It has been working for me! Seriously!It may not work for everyone, but the thinning hair in front is thicker and growing back. Even the crown is starting to show life of small hairs regrowing. It's not been long enough to see how things will end up, but it truly makes MY scalp feel better, has stopped the hair from falling out, and I truly, and unbelievably so, have seen regrowth!The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the price...way too high.Then again, though I must stress...
