Works very well
I got this adapter so I could use my 1/2" corded impact wrench to drive small-diameter lag screws such as Simpson Strong Drives and FastenMaster Timberloks and Trussloks. These lags typically have 5/16" and 3/8" heads-sizes for which 1/2" drive sockets aren't readily available but for which 1/4" hex drive impact sockets are. It works beautifully for this purpose. On a recent project, I used the adapter to drive about 30 6" Timberloks quickly and without a hitch. My first copy of the 48-03-4410 was defective and broke immediately, which I believe was just a fluke, because the unit appears to be very well made. Amazon's awesome return service got a replacement to me very quickly, and, as noted above, it has performed flawlessly.

Awesome
This is an awesome little gadget. It allows you to use an impact wrench with your screwdriver bits. This is very useful when you're doing heavy woodwork. E.g., I was building a heavy-duty work table out of 2x6s and 4x4s with anchor screws. Both my Bosch electric screwdriver and Makita hammer drill would start to run out of gas as the screws went deeper into the woodwork. Plus the bits would start to "walk out" of the screws. This was separate from the breakaway/strip-prevention torque issue. It's happened often enough on projects that I've been looking for an alternative. Enter this handy little item. Since an impact wrench resets itself and delivers full power with every blow, it doesn't run out of gas the way the screwdrivers/drill seem to. As a result, things are now a snap. Build quality is nice. Just make sure you use high grade bits so they don't shatter or twist. Very important! Make sure you consult with your suppliers to make sure their bits can hold up as I did.

What a fantastic product
What can I say, this product is a must have for any tradesman. It comes into its own when torque above and beyond what a 1/4" impact driver can put out is required. All that's needed is to stick this adapter on to a 1/2" impact wrench and away you go.It's a pity that Milwaukee is one of the few brands which feature something like this in their tools range.
