well, so far so good
I've been using it for 10 weeks now and I am definitely seeing some new thin hairs in the hairline! I got this product because i read a reviewer say he saw new growth in his hairline and i thought what the heck. It's begun to do the same for me . . . a great price so you don't lose much if it doesn't work . . . I've read up on Minoxidil a lot and i know it takes about 6-8 months to see real change but the early signs all point to a positive result.I have reordered already.Recommended.

Works...with costs.
Kirkland Minoxidil, so far, has been working for me. I am 28 years old, and before using this product had a large bald spot on the top of my head, and a lot of thinning in the front. I am almost at the two month mark, and have had a decent amount of hair regrowth. Both on the crown of my head (bald spot), and the front area. The product suggests that you should not use it in the front, but let's face it, that's what more people will be looking at when they are looking at your face. Anyway, the hair isn't as long and thick as the rest of my hair, but it has begun filling in those balding areas despite. They say it takes a good solid couple months to see the full effect, and I had to stop using it for almost a week when I forgot to pack it on a vacation. I imagine if I had, the hair would be thicker, and my bald areas would be even more filled in. This progress comes at a cost though. The product is a great value compared to Rogaine, especially when they basically are the same things...

Hair Loss Sucks
I am a 21 year old male and there is definitely hair loss in my family. I didn't think I would lose hair as early as I was (around 20). I figure it was due to stress because I'm currently attending college and I wasn't ready for it. Anyways after I started using this product I saw immediate results within weeks. There definitely some side affects though that you all should be aware about. Within a week of using this product I started having trouble sleeping but it wasn't that bad. I also started to get color change in my hair which I wasn't expecting. I also feel at times that I am more tired than usual (not entirely sure if its the product or just me). My hair was turning lighter and almost seemed like it was thinning also. The worst part of it all though is the product dries out your scalp a lot and you start getting dandruff which I've never had before trying this product. Im 23 and started losing my hair a few years ago in the front. I have a really bad receding hairline so I shopped around and found kirklands extra strength minoxodil. Its not intended for frontal baldness but I used it anyway and in 2 months I have natural colered hairs where they should be! My natural hairline is full of small hairs. They are small and are just now starting to really grow but they are there. I bought a 4 month supply for the cost of a 1 or 2 month supply of rogaine so Im ready to see what happens in the next 2 months. I wouldnt fool with the regular strength when the extra strength works so well. I've been using this for over 6 months now.I chose the Subscribe and save so I save even more!Amazon is great. I love this feature. They just send me a new package every so often as I scheduled so I don't have to worry about it. Very effective, but must be faithful and patient
This product works great, and if you combine it daily with a few other supplements that block DHT formation (Saw Palmetto, Nu-Hair, flaxseed oil, Niozin shampoo) it can really make a difference. Don't give up if you don't see results right away or if you notice more stray hairs coming out- this actually means that it's working. Stay faithful putting it on (morning and evening) and you will probably begin to see noticeable results around the 3-4 month mark. I highly recommend this over pills such as Propecia which have considerably negative side effects for some. It dries very quickly and nicely and the scent is not very bothersome at all. You may want to use slightly more than the recommended dosage- the instructions state that it only works on the vertex (mid-back of the scalp) but this is not true. Great improvment over the liquid form
I've used Rogaine for about 3 years now so I know the product works. I've been using the foam for about a month and as far as results go it's just as effective. I love the foam b/c it's a lot quicker to apply and it doesn't have as many side effects such as no flaking on the skin. I give it a 4 out of 5 because it's a lot more expensive than the liquid for essentially the same results but the application is much improved.

Why buy Rogaine?
This product works great. I've been using it for over a year now to deal with a receeding hairline. The product says that it only works on the crown of the head (not hairline), however, that is only because the clinical testing has only been looking at the crown of the head. Real-world experience shows over and over that it works both on the crown and hairline.Compared to Rogaine, it's a no-brainer. They both contain the same active ingredient but Kirkland minoxidil is about 1/3 the price. If you want to donate to Rogaine's advertising campaign then buy Rogaine, however, if you're only interested in your own hairloss then buy Kirkland minoxidil. Trust me, I'm a chemist, they both contain the SAME active ingredient.

Really Great...for Women too
This product is so much cheaper than Rogaine, and it works! According to the instructions, it is only for men and for crown of their head. Well, I'm not recommending that people break the rules, but here's my experience: it works for women, and even for my receding hairline in front! Yes, it does make you hair thinner for the first 2 month, and that was depressing; however, it does wonders after that! I have new hair growth on parts of my head that were bare for years! It is a bit of a hassle to have to apply it twice a day though. However, if I don't have enough time for it to take the 2 hours to dry in the morning, I blow dry it with warm (not hot) air. Minoxidil 5% works for women!!!!
My hair has been thinning for 20 years. My aunt lost almost all her hair and wore a wig in her old age, not from cancer or radiation. I went to a dermatologist a year ago who gave me a prescription for a steroid cream and recommended using minoxidil 5% twice a day except every weekend replacing it with the steroid cream as well as taking a high dose biotin 5x everyday.After 2 months I ran out of the steroid cream and take the biotin infrequently, but the Rogaine has totally solved the problem! It is like a miracle to me. I have a full head of beautiful curly hair like I did in my 20's. I rarely think about it now but when I do, I am soooooo grateful to that physician! And I buy the Rogaine on amazon because it is the best price I have found! I never plan to run out!

Works but very greesy!
I started using when I was 22. I had diffuse thinning, a noticable bald patch at the vernex, a receeding hairline and the typical temple hair loss. After the first two weeks, I would say about 25% of my remaining hair fell out and about 2 weeks after that I noticed the original hair I lost was growing back along with lots and lots of peach fuzz. 6 months on and some of the peach fuzz had turned to small, thick black hairs, 12 months on them hairs were like normal hair. Basically the product stopped hairloss, grew back the hair I had lost recently and grew back some of the hair that had been lost for a couple of years and thickened up the rest of my hair! The only drawback is that since it is so greasy, it does not dry fully and can transfer to your pillow causing a big bushy set of eyebrows to be formed and your hair looks kinda dirty and greasy!

It's a miracle
I actually purchased this for my husband and it does take a while to work, so he is not yet seeing results. I however, have been using Rogaine for women since last July and I can't believe the results. I am a 49 year old woman who has always had thin hair. After the birth of my children it got worse. Last summer I was loosing so much hair I asked my hair-dresser what to do. She suggested Rogaine. My hair is so much thicker now, I can't see my scalp anymore. It works but has side effects
This is my fourth month of use (on my second pack). I saw results in my third month. It works but there are a few things to take note of.1. It is not convenient to put on. It runs off as you apply and take time to dry.2. It seemed to cause fatigue when I started using it. I stopped using it during to day and I was no longer tired.3. It causes dandruff and it itches, a lot. I sometimes wake up at night scratching my head, literally. From the instructions, I am supposed to stop using it.4. Definitely works, but inconvenient
I've been using this for about 2 1/2 years now. One application a day in the mornings, across the entire top of the scalp. And basically, my hair loss has completely stopped and I've seen minor regrowth across the entire application area. Enough to feel the thickness a bit more and enough to attempt more ambitious hairstyles again. I had been using it 2x/day as recommended, and cut back to 1x/day, and also started using an anti-dandruff/anti-itching shampoo, which mostly alleviated the issues.
