Stainless steel 302 is more corrosion resistant than steel and may be mildly magnetic. Stainless steels are used for their corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, scaling resistance, and low-temperature toughness. These properties account for their wide use in practically every industry.
Hitch pins, or hairpin cotter pins, resemble the letter “R” and are often used to secure shafts and pins quickly. The straight prong is pushed into a hole, while the other prong holds the shaft.
